But officials who negotiated the deal argue the 17 government agencies that receive property taxes from the golf club potentially saved the same taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars in future legal bills by settling.

As a battalion chief with the Bloomingdale Fire Protection District, Janus is accustomed to working under extremely high-pressure conditions.
