Fehlman Memorial event set for MondayJun 12, 2014 4:40 PM - The 11th Annual Fehlman Memorial Senior All-Star Game is set for Monday night at Judson University in Elgin. The event features some of the top senior softball players from high schools throughout the Fox Valley, and honors the memory of Dave Fehlman and his son, Robbie. Dave Fehlman was a longtime supporter of high school and youth softball in the Fox Valley area and a past president of the Fox Valley Renegades. He passed away in 2007. Dave's son, Robbie, was killed in a tragic auto accident in Colorado in 2012.

Akron tops Bandits 8-4Jun 7, 2014 11:28 PM - After an offensive explosion, the Akron Racers snapped their four-game losing streak against the Bandits with an 8-4 victory Saturday night in Rosemont. The scoring started early for both teams as Akron's Taylor Schlopy got the first hit of the night, a home run to deep left field. In the bottom half of the first the Bandits answered with an RBI single by Tammy Williams to score Emily Allard.
