The Illinois Youth Dance Theatre is hosting its 22nd annual presentation of "The Nutcracker Ballet" at 1 and 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 17 and 18, at the Lake Zurich Performing Arts Center.

IYDT's production of "The Nutcracker" features preprofessional junior and senior company members from the Illinois Youth Dance Theater, who range in age from 4 to 18 and have trained at the Illinois Dance Conservatory in Wauconda under the direction of Artistic Director Alyce Keaggy-Brinkmann.

 

Her credentials include dancing professionally for 13 years as a soloist with The Milwaukee Ballet.

IYDT is a not-for-profit that promotes community outreach and works to cultivate interest in education and performing arts, as well as enriching the personal best in every dancer.
