Glenbard Parent Series in Spanish speaker will address teen anxiety, depression and motivation

The Glenbard Bilingual Parent Advisory Council (B-PAC) and Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families will present "Fostering Motivation and Resilience to Achieve" with psychologist Ferney Ramirez on Thursday, Nov 17.

It will begin at 6 p.m. at Glenbard East High School, 1014 S. Main St. in Lombard. This program will be presented in Spanish only.

Ramirez returns to Glenbard Parent Series to discuss how to address children's anxiety, hopelessness, irritability, poor school performance or a lack of motivation. He will help adults respond to behaviors they might not understand and provide compassionate strategies to foster skills that are essential for adolescents. Ramirez will also offer guidance on the role of emotional intelligence in a child's lifelong success.

Ramírez is the author of 10 mental health publications. He is also the president of the Family First Organization and coordinates programs for families in Chicago and numerous Illinois school districts.
