Bring your family, friends, and canine companions to a nature walk benefiting Anderson Humane on Sunday, Oct. 23, in Campton Hills.

Lace up your walking shoes and raise funds at the seventh annual Walk4Animals will begin at 9 a.m. at Gray Willows Farm, 5N949 Corron Road.

Registration and donation drop-off begins at 9 a.m. with the walk at 9:30 a.m.

Your participation -- in person or virtually -- supports the animal welfare organization's work to find homes for 4,000 pets and provide care for 3,000 injured and orphaned wild animals every year.

In addition to the 1.25-mile walk through tranquil Gray Willows Farm, come enjoy wagon rides, food trucks, an after party, and animal appearances by Wings & Talons.

It's fun for the whole family, including the canine members, and all for a great cause!

Cost is $25 for age 13 or older or $10 for kids, age 3 to 12.

The minimum suggested fundraising goal for a team of 2 to 5 people is $500.

Not attending in person? Walk from your neighborhood, treadmill, or trail of your choosing. You can join/create a team even if you can't make it to the event.

And see firsthand how transported animals go through the intake process and what happens when they arrive at the shelter.

It also will include registration for two children at the 2023 Summer Critter Camp, and a family of four can enjoy tickets to six nature hikes offered by Anderson Humane between Nov. 1 through October 2023.
