Schaumburg Township District Library is excited to host prolific sculptor Richard Hunt in an online conversation with art historian Jeff Mishur on Saturday, Sept. 17.

Hunt has public commissions all over the Chicago area and the United States, including The Art Institute of Chicago, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, The Chicago Cultural Center, Ravinia Festival, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and other locations.

He has won multiple awards, earned several honorary university degrees, and hit many milestones as an African American artist.

He will be joined in conversation by art historian Jeff Mishur as they discuss Hunt's long and influential career.

Mishur is vice president and co-owner of Art Excursions. He holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in the history of art from Northern Illinois University. He is a popular lecturer on topics related to the history of art, travel and architecture.
