Wego Drama at Community High School begins their 2022-23 season on Aug. 19-20 with the all-ages production of "Marvel Spotlight: Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play."

Based on the characters created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, this play is a modern riff on the characters created 60 years ago.

This fun play focuses on the Norse gods as teenagers as they face the trials of school, family, and friendship.

It is the perfect kick-off to the Wego Drama season theme of "Discover Who You Are."

Thor needs to discover what is important to him as he prepares to be a future king.

Junior Alex Bradley, who plays Thor, says, "It is great to give my own take on this classic character."

Additionally, senior Elizabeth Hurly continues, "It is so much fun to watch this story take place. It is great to see these characters as high school students facing things that we face."

Finally, junior Mariah Varnado states, "If you love the comics or the Marvel movies, then you won't want to miss this take on the characters. It is funny and quite heart-warming."
