West Suburban Community Pantry, Ross Creative Works recognized for virtual food pantry marketing campaign
West Suburban Community Pantry in Woodridge and Ross Creative Works of Naperville have received a firs- place Tempo Award for the "Virtual Food Pantry Launch Campaign" by the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing.
They were recognized in the nonprofit category, in which Morton Arboretum and Hoag Hospital Foundation were also finalists.
Thirty-one marketing companies and advertisers/brands participated in the 2022 Tempo Awards by submitting marketing campaigns launched between Oct. 1, 2020, and Dec. 31, 2021.
Submitted campaigns were part of marketing programs designed to generate a measurable response from a target audience. They were judged in 20 categories.
"The simple, colorful, graphics and to-the-point copy spoke to people when it mattered most," says Lisa Spaeth, director of development. "In devising the campaign, we put ourselves in our customer's shoes, considering when and where we delivered the messaging. We are proud to receive this award alongside Ross Creative Works, valued community partners, and friends of the Pantry. Their design work and ability to push out the campaign in ways that best served our customers has resulted in an extremely successful launch for this new program."
The Virtual Food Pantry campaign introduced new online ordering and convenient curbside pick-up for customers of the West Suburban Community Pantry.
The pantry provides food and resources to people facing hunger, offering access to nutritious meals and strengthening hope for tomorrow.
Rooted in the community for 50 years, West Suburban Community Pantry offers an in-person food pantry, Virtual Food Pantry with curbside pick-up, and DoorDash delivery to households in DuPage County, Bolingbrook, and Romeoville.
The pantry also runs child nutrition programs and connects families with financial assistance and free workshops.
