The Land Conservancy of McHenry County is hosting Winter Night's Family Fun on Friday, Jan. 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hennen Conservation Area, 4622 Dean St., Woodstock.
Free to the public, this event will feature guided night hikes, a bonfire and a sheltered area with hot cocoa. Participants are encouraged to bring the entire family and dress for cold weather. Hennen Conservation Area is a 25-acre park in Woodstock that has been transformed from farmland into a wild and natural place with trails that lead through groves of trees, as well as wildflowers in the spring and summer.
The Land Conservancy of McHenry County is a member-based private nonprofit dedicated to preserving natural, scenic and agricultural land.
