The Golden Ratio, FIRST Tech Challenge #12682, recently announced that entrepreneur Adam Sandow, founder of Material Bank, has decided to be their title sponsor for the 2021-2022 season.

The community team is made up of high school students, middle schoolers, and mentors from the McHenry County area.

This ambitious team, now in their fifth season, uses the sponsorship money given by Material Bank and other sponsors to make a competition robot with top functionality and to purchase materials needed to train students in different areas of STEM and business development.

Christian Schneider, a first-year member of Golden Ratio Robotics, said, "This year, we had big goals, since last year the team was unable to participate at the Worlds robotics competition due to the pandemic. So, we forced ourselves to think big about sponsorships this year looking at companies with a passion for robotics."

Material Bank, which is headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, was a great partner option, because they are also exploring the use of robotics in their own business, leveraging technology to make it possible to get hundreds of different brands and material samples to interior designers overnight.
