Local food, craft breweries featured at Villa Park Brewfest Oct. 2

The third annual Villa Park BrewFest, featuring local and regional craft breweries as well as tasty food truck cuisine, will be 2 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at Cortesi Veterans Memorial Park, 318 E. Kenilworth Ave. in Villa Park.

You can sample from more than 80 different styles of craft beer and hard ciders from America's best craft brewers. Plus vote for your favorite Illinois craft beer as they award the coveted Villa Park BrewFest Award to the top voted recipient.

 

Featured breweries include: 2 Fools Cider, Afterthought Brewing Co., Alter Brewing Co., BrewDog, Elmhurst Brewing Co., Exit Strategy Brewing Co., Hofbrau, Lunar Brewing Co., Miskatonic Brewing Co., Oak Park Brewing Co., Odious Cellars, Pig Minds Brewing Co., Riverlands Brewing Co., and Will County Brewing Co.

The food trucks will be Aijo Kitchen Food Truck, La Humita on Wheels, and Tickle My Tamale.

There will be music by Lake Effect, an eight-piece band that features a great horn section, guitar, bass, keyboard and drums and covers classic rock, swing, and rhythm and blues.

Gold Pass tickets are $65, and includes entry at 1 p.m., 24 drink tickets, private restroom access, special samples of VIP beers, and a commemorative tasting glass.

General admission tickets are $47 or $55, or day-of. The designated driver fee is $15.

This event is a 21 and older event, even the designated drivers, with valid ID, in order to enter the festival.

No pets of any kind are allowed inside the festival grounds. Children are strictly prohibited (including but not limited to babies in strollers or being carried in any sort of baby carrier).

Your Villa Park BrewFest tickets not only get you access to the craft beer event, but you also get to raise your glass to support the Villa Park Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2801. Post 2801 works year-round to support veterans and active military.
