The Bridge Youth & Family Services will celebrate more than 55 years of helping children, teens, and families in the community. The annual Gala Benefit will be held online Saturday, April 17. To join, visit

This event will be a night filled with special recognitions and opportunities to learn more about The Bridge's programs and services. Through the generous support of businesses and members of the community, The Bridge, based in Palatine, is able to provide essential therapies and programs to help young people and their families achieve mental, social, and emotional health through counseling, crisis intervention, youth mentoring and parent education.


Starting at 7 p.m., virtual guests will have the opportunity to learn about The Bridge, its clients and mission and bid on silent auction items. There will be performances by charitable rock band Liquidated Damages, a nonprofit band made up of business professionals in the construction industry.

"This continues to be a challenging time for everyone, especially nonprofit organizations that rely on the generosity of business and community members in order to continue to provide essential services to kids and their families," said Jakub Amrogowicz, private banker at BMO Private Bank and member of the board of The Bridge Youth and Family Services.

"An exciting number of unique items will be auctioned off, including a picnic basket complete with settings for two, food and wine insulators and fleece blanket, as well as fine jewelry and other unique items," Stockey said.

Guests will also have a chance to buy a raffle ticket to win a grand prize of $3,000 from a cash raffle, with a second prize of $1,500 and third prize of $500. Guests who register for dinner will have their choice of entree from a three-course menu delivered to their homes.

About The Bridge

The Bridge's mission is to help children, teens and their families overcome challenges and trauma to lead happier, more successful lives. The Bridge provides a range of programs and counseling services to residents of Cook County living in Palatine, Barrington, Hanover, Elk Grove, Maine and Schaumburg townships.

The 501(c) (3) organization was founded in 1965. Its services include child and family counseling, psychiatric assessments, group services in high schools, substance abuse assessments and counseling, and education regarding mental health, self-care, depression, and anxiety.


Crisis intervention services are provided for runaway, locked-out, and homeless youths, and include counseling, emergency shelter referrals, and suicide assessments, with the goal of family reunification.

Prevention and volunteer services include youth advocacy mentoring, parenting programs, substance abuse education in local high schools and volunteer opportunities for the community at-large.
