Illinois Equine Humane Center celebrates 12th anniversary Sept. 5

Join the Illinois Equine Humane Center for its 12th anniversary celebration and silent auction from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5.

This is a fun event for the entire family! Food and beverages are included with ticket purchase. Visiting with the horses, wine raffle, live entertainment, cash bar, door prizes, and a "Kentucky Derby Hat" contest, are some of the features, as well as lots of silent auction items for your bidding pleasure.


All proceeds from this event go expressly to providing feed, hay, veterinary needs, etc to the rescued horses in our care.

Entrance fee includes barbecue with the sides, live music, door prize opportunities, and a Derby hat contest. The fee is $20 or $10 for children over age 5.

Tickets are available online or at the door the day of the event.

Online bidding starts Aug. 28 and continues to 8 p.m. Sept. 5. Some auction items will also be available online at the following link:

Some of the auction items include: getaways to Kohler, Wis., and Louisville, Ky.; special horse halters-Justify, Candy Ride, Quality Road, Mounted Shoes; special baskets with coffee, spa/beauty, restaurant, gift cards, and more.

The farm is large and very conducive to social distancing.

COVID-19 safety protocols will be in practice and facial coverings are required.
