In conjunction with the exhibit "McDonald's® Hamburger University®," the Elk Grove Historical Museum is offering up a full summer menu of family-friendly exhibit activities that are affordable and delivered fast.

Activities are offered Wednesdays during June, July and August from noon to 5 p.m. at a cost of only $1 for nonmembers and free for museum members. No registration is required, but participants are asked to call ahead if bringing a group larger than five people.

During June, visitors will be "Molding the Menu" by trying to recreate popular menu items using molding clay. Starting in July, families can "Shake it Up" by using a blend of craft materials to create the perfect shake that never melts.

To wrap up the final month of the exhibit, visitors can "Make it Your Own" during August by assembling a menu and decorating a paper food service cap to represent a new restaurant idea.

Admission to the exhibit is free and will remain on display through Aug. 31. Every exhibit visitor and program participant receives a coupon for a free ice cream cone at sponsoring McDonald's locations: 10 W. Biesterfield Road, 633 Meacham Road, and 1450 Busse Road.

The Elk Grove Historical Museum is at 399 Biesterfield Road in Elk Grove Village. Contact (847) 439-3994 or visit www.elkgroveparks.org/museum for more information.
