Eloy Jimenez left his first rehab game in Charlotte after the second at-bat. It turns out he tweaked the right hamstring injury that has kept him out since April 23.

White Sox manager Tony LaRussa said Jiminez will likely rest for a few days.

 

"It's not perfect, it's not what you would hope, but it still doesn't change the expectation that he's healing and on his way," La Russa told reporters before Sunday's game. "Just have to be careful with him. It felt like it's just part of the healing. He's just not completely 100 percent yet."

Jimenez had a strikeout and single for Charlotte on Saturday.

Third baseman Yoan Moncada was not in the starting lineup for the third straight game, but pinch-hit in the ninth inning and grounded out. Outfielder Luis Robert has been out since May 22 due to a positive COVID test. The Sox hope he'll be back by next weekend's series in Tampa Bay, if not sooner.
