Palatine Dist. 15 hosting meetings on referendum, improvement plan

Palatine Township Elementary District 15 will host an informational webinar and series of in-person meetings beginning this week regarding its Moving 15 Forward plan, which includes a $93 million tax-hike referendum on the Nov. 8 ballot.

The referendum, if approved, will pay for half of a proposed $186 million improvement plan that officials say would repair and restore facilities, update learning spaces and improve student transitions, as well as bring full-day kindergarten to the district.

Meetings will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the following dates and locations: Thursday, Oct. 6, at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, 3805 Winston Drive, Hoffman Estates; Tuesday, Oct. 11, at Winston Campus Junior High, 120 N. Babcock Drive, Palatine; Thursday, Oct. 13, at Plum Grove Junior High, 2600 Plum Grove Road, Rolling Meadows; Thursday, Oct. 20, at Carl Sandburg Junior High, 2600 Martin Lane, Rolling Meadows; and Tuesday, Oct. 25, at Walter R. Sundling Junior High, 1100 N. Smith St., Palatine.
