Palatine Dist. 15 hosting meetings on referendum, improvement plan
Palatine Township Elementary District 15 will host an informational webinar and series of in-person meetings beginning this week regarding its Moving 15 Forward plan, which includes a $93 million tax-hike referendum on the Nov. 8 ballot.
The referendum, if approved, will pay for half of a proposed $186 million improvement plan that officials say would repair and restore facilities, update learning spaces and improve student transitions, as well as bring full-day kindergarten to the district.
The informational webinar is set for 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and can be viewed at https://tinyurl.com/umer89t8.
Meetings will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the following dates and locations: Thursday, Oct. 6, at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, 3805 Winston Drive, Hoffman Estates; Tuesday, Oct. 11, at Winston Campus Junior High, 120 N.
