Woodpeckers of Illinois focus of next Audubon Society gathering

Woodpeckers of Illinois is the subject of Lake County Audubon Society's meeting Monday, Oct. 3, in Libertyville.

Peggy Doty, an educator with the University of Illinois Extension, will discuss the birds that will frequent gardens with the right treats.


The meeting is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Studio Theater in Libertyville High School, 708 W. Park Ave. The event can be attended via Zoom or in person. Children accompanied by an adult are welcome.
