Kane sheriff's detectives seek info following shots fired call near Aurora

Kane County sheriff's detectives are asking for the public's help in regards to a shots fired report in unincorporated Aurora Township Sunday night.

Sheriff's deputies and Montgomery police were called to the 1300 block of Gates Street for a report of shots fired at about 11 p.m.


Deputies found at least one residence hit by gunfire and located an adult man outside who appeared to have been involved in a fight but not shot, sheriff's police said. Blood was found inside the residence where they found the man.

The victim was uncooperative and no other witnesses were found on the scene, according to the sheriff's office.

Detectives ask that anyone with information call (630) 444-1103 or submit a tip through their website or the Kane County Sheriff app.
