Titans' baseball season comes to an end -- but not until after best playoff run since 1994
Glenbrook South baseball may not have won their supersectional game against Mundelein Monday, but the 2-1 loss certainly didn't take away from a pretty great season.
Glenbrook South (19-13), which made its deepest run into the playoffs since 1994, tied the game in the third. Nic Swanson walked, went to second on a single by Scott Newman and would score on James Hackett's second hit of the game.
Mundelein pulled ahead in the bottom of the seventh after an RBI single drove home what ended up being the winning run.
"The whole journey with this team has been a great joy ride," Glenbrook South coach Steve Stanicek said. "To get to the supersectional game, we are very pleased with this. This is what high school baseball should be played like."
