Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley will hold a free tutor training workshop from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, Jan. 10 to Jan. 19, on Zoom.

The St. Charles-based organization helps adults read, write, speak, and understand English by matching them with trained volunteer tutors. Tutors can meet with the adult students in person, remotely, or a combination of the two.

If you know English, you can teach English to a Fox Valley resident who wants to learn. Volunteers do not need teaching experience to be successful. The program provides material and instruction so anyone can help.

To register for the workshop or for more information, visit or call/text (630) 584-4428.
