On Wednesday, Jan. 19, Lake and McHenry county libraries will be hosting an online program called "Norge Ski Jumping Club in Fox River Grove: The Hill, the History, and Our Local Olympians."

The virtual discussion will include information about the sport of ski jumping, the history of the Norge hill and a chance to hear from local USA Nordic Team members.

The Norge Ski Club was founded in 1905 by a group of Norwegian men. Today, the club prepares athletes for Olympic-level competition in the sport of ski jumping.

The Zoom program at 7 p.m. is hosted by the Wauconda Area Public Library, Fox River Grove Memorial Library, Crystal Lake Public Library, and Algonquin Area Public Library. Contact one of the libraries to sign up.
