Cook County sheriff's police are investigating two burglaries and one attempted burglary in Glenview and Des Plaines Sunday.

At 4:26 a.m., police responded to an alarm call from a gas station in the 600 block of Greenwood Road in an unincorporated area near Glenview, where they found the station's glass front door had been shattered.

Footage from the gas station's security camera showed an unidentified individual smash in the glass door with a pry bar, after which they and a group of individuals attempted to dislodge an ATM inside the building, according to police.

Appearing unsuccessful, the group took cash boxes from the register and lighters, and fled the scene.

While investigating, police received an alarm call about a break-in at a nearby business on Greenwood Road's 900 block.

Security camera footage showed an unidentified individual smashing in the business' glass door before a group of individuals attempted to dislodge an ATM.

The group proceeded to take cash, cigarettes and alcohol from the store before fleeing the scene.

At 4:47 a.m., police responded to a third alarm call from the 9700 block of Potter Road in an unincorporated area near Des Plaines. Police found shattered bits of glass around the entrance.
