A driver asked two children to come near his vehicle in St. Charles Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

A man driving a black car approached the children outside their home on the 600 block of South 11th Avenue around 1 p.m. and told them he had given their parents a ride last week, according to a news release from the St. Charles Police Department. After the children refused to come near his vehicle, the driver left the area.

Anyone with information about this case should call the St. Charles Police Department at (630) 377-4435.
