The St. Charles Police Department is asking for help identifying a woman suspected of stealing packages from outside two homes earlier this month.

About 2 p.m. Nov. 3, a woman took a package off the porch of a home at the 300 block of South 7th Street, police said. The homeowner's video surveillance system recorded the theft.

About 1 p.m. Nov. 12, a package was stolen off from a porch on the 500 block of Wing Lane. Again, the homeowner's surveillance system recorded the theft.

In both cases, the thief appears to be a white woman wearing flip-flops and driving a black or dark-colored four-door sedan, police said.

Anyone who has information about the thefts should call the St. Charles Police Department at (630)-377-4435. You also can submit an anonymous tip at www.stcharlesil.gov/report-crimedrug-tip or by calling (866) DRUG-COP.
