Elmhurst University to host Malka Simkovich for Abraham Joshua Heschel Lecture
Elmhurst University will host Malka Simkovich for this year's Abraham Joshua Heschel Lecture, which is part of the school's Religious Literacy Project.
Simkovich's lecture is titled "The Origins and Significance of Jewish Universalism." Simkovich is the Crown-Ryan Chair of Jewish Studies and director of Catholic-Jewish Studies at Catholic Theological Union. She is the author of the 2016 book "The Making of Jewish Universalism: From Exile to Alexandria."
The lecture is set for 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 in the Frick Center's Founders Lounge at 190 Prospect Ave., Elmhurst. Admission is free, but reservations are encouraged at elmhurst.edu/cultural.
