A suburban man was arrested last week after an employee at a Des Plaines business discovered child pornography on the man's cellphone, police said.

Ruben Arriaga Hernandez, 31, of the 5000 block of Forster Avenue in Schiller Park, is charged with two counts of possession of child pornography.

Arriaga Hernandez had gone into the store on the 1500 block of East Oakton Street on May 27 to exchange his cellphone for a different one, Des Plaines police said. Pornographic videos were discovered while the phone was being reset, police said.

The employee called Des Plaines police, who launched an investigation.

Arriaga Hernandez was arrested Thursday.
