Blackberry Farm museum park in Aurora to re-open this year
Blackberry Farm, a living-history museum in Aurora, will reopen this year, the Fox Valley Park District announced Monday.
The park's 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Season passes for the facility, at 100 S. Barnes Road, went on sale Monday.
"We're really excited to open for the 2021 season and provide all the wonderful amenities that our community loves at Blackberry Farm," said Becky Harling, facility manager at Blackberry Farm, in a news release. "We'll continue to follow all COVID guidelines to keep the public safe."
There will be capacity limits at some of the museum sites and requirements to wear masks.
The season will run from May 1 to Sept. 26.
In normal circumstances, the 52-year-old park would have roughly 120,000 visitors per season.
Season passes can be purchased at the website blackberryfarm.info, or at the Vaughan Athletic Center, Prisco and Eola community centers, and Cole Center administrative office.
