Spotlight: BoHo Theatre revives Jonathan Larsen tuner; 'Chicago' returns to its namesake city

'Tick, Tick ... Boom!'

An aspiring composer worries that time is running out for him to write the great American musical in "Tick, Tick ... Boom!" the semi-autobiographical tuner by the late Jonathan Larsen ("Rent"). BoHo Theatre concludes its season with a revival of Larsen's off-Broadway hit. BoHo artistic director Elizabeth Swanson directs.

Broadway in Chicago presents the 25th anniversary tour of "Chicago," the John Kander and Fred Ebb Depression-set musical about greed, murder, corruption and celebrity in which two accused murderers vie for queen of the Cook County Jail. Katie Frieden and Logan Floyd star as Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, a pair of murderous chanteuses vying for headlines in 1930s Chicago.
