Daily Herald columnist Jim Slusher: Political opponents have enjoyed taking Rahm Emanuel to task for his famous call to never let a crisis "go to waste," but the former Chicago mayor and current U.S. ambassador to Japan had a point that has not been lost on us in the newspaper industry in recent years.
