Streamwood High School revamps drama program, presents inaugural fall productionOct 27, 2022 9:40 AM - With Halloween right around the corner, Streamwood High School will proudly present "Arsenic and Old Lace," with performances in the campus auditorium at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26 and Friday, Oct. 28, with a community matinee at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29. This will be the first in a series of SHS plays overseen by a brand-new technical crew. Each production will also have a different director.

HFCA Student's Self-Advocacy Reaches All the Way to Governor PritzkerOct 24, 2022 12:15 PM - An important component of Holy Family Catholic Academy's (Inverness) nationally and internationally recognized curriculum and instruction is to inspire students in preschool through grade 8 to learn and demonstrate self-advocacy. HFCA Principal, Kate O'Brien explains, "Self-advocacy helps students develop strong problem-solving and communication skills. The more students practice articulating their needs, the more confident they become developing solutions and speaking up for their interests." Fifth grade student, Jax Schnell has learned to advocate for himself and has taken this skill all the way to Governor Pritzker.
