ELGIN -- Premier Design + Build Group has broken ground on a large new industrial build for an end-user client that specializes in the design and manufacture of packaging solutions. The structure will feature precast concrete walls, a 36 feet clear height, 30 dock positions, and three drive-in doors. Interior spaces will include large processing areas, community and open space work areas, baler room, seven offices and conference rooms. Premier will install an exterior asphalt lot on the 37.7-acre site to accommodate 300 vehicles and 32 trailers.

The target completion date for the project is February 2023. Premier's Mark Riedy is the project manager, working with project superintendent Scott Lebak, and Joseph Ahrens, senior vice president, market leader.

Premier's team is working with Ware Malcomb for architectural design services, Manhard Consulting for civil engineering services, and LJB Engineers for structural engineering.
