Spellman's Scorecard: Always room for more morsels
-
It sure seems that Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau has just about had it with the Derrick Rose will-he-or-won't-he nightly situation. And who could blame him? Associated Press
Hey, can you stop by and bring me a coffee?
I'm filling out my clipboard while waiting in line here at Service Merchandise.
After that it's off to Memco and Zayres for slacks and some enormous hats.
What?
Random thought:
The first NFL team to hire a clock-management coach will earn my eternal praise.
Big surprise:
So Chicago's unpredictable weather can make it difficult to finish an off-season construction project?
Who knew?
Just wondering:
Are the windshield-washer people in cahoots with the road-salt guys?
Pretty sure:
Thibs is at DEFCON 3 with this D-Rose stuff, and I don't blame him one bit.
Wonder how Q would handle it. Or Robin, or Joe.
Pretty sure I already know how Marc would, and it wouldn't be good.
Turkey trivia:
Courtesy of the good folks at the University of Illinois:
Wild turkeys spend the night in trees.
They prefer oak trees.
That is so random and so awesome.
I'm sensing:
The White Sox exploding with a huge trade or a big free-agent signing … and soon.
They seem to be in that go-for-it mode.
What a deal:
Twitter tells me I can have my very own Ronnie Woo Woo bobblehead doll … for only $20!
Um, no.
Question:
The Bulls have Noah, Gasol, Butler, etc. The Hawks have Kane, Shaw and a plethora of others.
Who's the one Bears player who's really likable from a fan's perspective?
Maybe Willie Young? Kyle Long?
The equation:
Josh McCown is to Bears fans what Mark DeRosa was to Cubs fans.
Is it me ...:
Or does Pat O'Donnell take forever to boot his punts?
Nice little Saturday:
After stops at Home Depot and maybe Bed Bath & Beyond -- if there's enough time -- maybe a stop at the Allstate Arena to catch the Wolves vs. Rockford?
That's gonna be some entertaining hockey between the top two teams in the Midwest Division.
Plus:
Chris Chelios is going to be on hand to sign copies of his new book "Made in America."
I've read a few chapters and it's really good. And I'm absolutely not a sports-book guy.
More turkey trivia:
Forty-six million turkeys are eaten each Thanksgiving, 22 million on Christmas and 19 million on Easter.
Christmas?
Geesh, it's less than a month away.
Don't know about you, but:
I miss David Diehl.
And finally:
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and is able to get outside this weekend.
It's gonna be beautiful.
Enjoy!
