Retiring Sweeney backs Niewiardowski

Posted2/24/2014 5:00 AM

My name is Mike Sweeney and I currently serve as the Elk Grove Township supervisor and the Republican committeeman. I have made the tough decision not to run for re-election to the Republican committeeman post and I have endorsed Arthur Niewiardowski for the position.

Knowing that Art will be leading our Republican organization makes my decision much easier. I have worked alongside Art Niewiardowski in the Republican Organization of Elk Grove Township as a volunteer, a precinct captain and as a board member.

As township supervisor I have worked with Art in his role as highway commissioner, to serve the residents of Elk Grove Township. He loves his community, he is a dedicated public servant and I am proud to call him my friend and colleague.

Art Niewiardowski is a lifelong resident of Elk Grove Township. He is married and raising his three children where he grew up. Art owns a small business, Nevarr Inc., in Elk Grove Village and has a great relationship with the business community.

His relationships with voters, community leaders and business owners will serve him well as Republican committeeman.

There is no one better prepared for the Republican committeeman job. Join me in voting for Arthur Niewiardowski for Republican Committeeman of Elk Grove Township on March 18.
