AFL playoffs start with Shock vs. Rush

Chicago Rush (10-8) at Spokane Shock (14-4), 9 p.m. Thursday

Road warriors: 2013 has been a year of road victories for the Rush. They posted a 7-3 record on the road, but the Shock are just as strong at home, finishing with a 7-2 record in Washington. Since joining the AFL in 2010, the Shock are undefeated in home postseason games.


Key matchups: Wide receivers are the focal point for Thursday's matchup as the Rush and the Shock have the top two receivers from the 2013 season. Chicago's Reggie Gray finished the regular season with 140 receptions (fifth in the AFL) with 1,978 yards (second in the AFL) and 46 touchdowns (second in the AFL). Spokane's Adron Tennell led the league in receptions (156) and touchdowns (49). He finished fourth in yards with 1,792.
