What challenges did the Class of 2022 face as they returned to in-person school full time, and how did they overcome them: One-way halls that lasted a week; Plexiglass in the cafeteria.
Principal's reflections on the Class of 2022: Much has been said about the Class of 2022. You missed too much school, and you missed too much time with your friends. You lost too much of your adolescence, and you spent too much of high school learning remotely.
But here's something I also know. The Class of 2022 has done much more than learn about and on Zoom. In the past year, you, too, returned to Dundee-Crown's classrooms and hallways, even when we briefly made you walk in one direction around the building.
You, too, reunited with your friends, teammates, and your teachers. You, too, showed all of us that we could again attend football games and perform "Elf" on Dundee-Crown's stage with a live audience! You, too, remembered to find joy in celebrating the smallest of experiences ... like "Anything But a Backpack" Theme Thursday when you started walking in the door with coolers, shopping carts, and aquariums!
You, too, stood and applauded when the drumline again marched through our hallways to congratulate the Debate Team for their successes and you, too, made history as the first Charger Women's Soccer team to bring home a regional title. Our esteemed graduates taught us all how to emerge from the cocoons of our homes to embrace our lives once again.
We wish you more successes than failures and more laughter than tears as you move onto your future endeavors and journey toward your dreams! Congratulations Class of Twenty Twenty-TWO!
