The heart of the home comes under the spotlight in the current show at Fine Line Creative Arts Center's Kavanagh Gallery in St. Charles.

"The Artful Kitchen" looks at bringing color and style into the kitchen and dining area.

The exhibition includes an incredible selection of table runners, place mats and tea towels in vibrant and muted tones, as well as a varied selection of glass and ceramic vases to complement any table, mugs, plates and more.

All the items are for sale and with a varied price range visitors are sure to find something to add to a kitchen or dining area, either for themselves or as a gift for someone.

All the items in the show are created by local working artists who are all members of Fine Line.

The featured artists are: Cynthia Boudreau, Matthew Brej, Daniel Caldwell, Monica Casey, Christine Chlapecka, Jennifer Chou, Beth Duncan, Barbara Dyche, JoAnn Horvath, Scott Hunter, Susan Infante, Dagmar Klos, Karen Kloubec, Vicki Kwarciany, Laura Lamplough, Lynn McAdams, Mariana McCullough, Marie Polick, Jennifer Schroeder, Georgia Schwender, Alan Shontz, Esther Silvers, Lois Steltenpohl, Jay Walsh, Eileen Walsma, Jeff Walsma, Laura Wasilowski, Nancy Weill, and Heather Winslow.
