Wheaton's Gary UMC to hold 'Worship in the Park' Aug. 21

Enjoy the last days of summer with a worship service in Memorial Park in Wheaton.

On Sunday, Aug. 21, Gary United Methodist Church will hold "Worship in the Park" at 10 a.m. in Memorial Park, 225 Karlskoga Ave.

 

The service will include music, prayer, scripture reading, children's time and a sermon. Bring a lawn chair or blanket or use one of the provided theater seats.

All are welcome to worship and enjoy a picnic lunch after the service. Please bring a salad or dessert to share.

Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St. in Wheaton, offers a 9 a.m. Sunday worship in the sanctuary, complete with Kids' Church, plus livestreaming and recorded worship at garychurch.org. After the worship service, you can enjoy a coffee hour called "Special Blend." Sunday school for all ages starts again Sept. 11.
