MayFest Fine Arts Show features 22 local artists

Grayslake Arts Alliance (GAA) will host "MayFest" Fine Art Show and Sale on Saturday, May 7 at Grayslake Heritage Center, 164 Hawley St., Grayslake. The show features 22 local artists, live entertainment, and crafts for kids.

GAA members will be showing a variety of work, including watercolors, acrylics, oils, mosaics, photography, fiber art, pastels, stained glass, and ceramics. Books will be available for sale by local writers. Live performances include spoken word, Chapin Jazz X-tet, Ashley & Simpson, Jim Gary, Heroes & Legends Music, and Margie Skora.

 

The show runs from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. and is free to the public. Artwork will be for sale; a portion of all proceeds benefit the arts. GAA's Education Committee, "Outside the Lines," will provide a free Polaroid/frame activity for children, while supplies last.
