Kane County Sheriff's Office now providing COVID-19 vaccine
In support of the Kane County Health Department, the Kane County Sheriff's Office is now providing COVID-19 vaccinations at its facility to law enforcement countywide, and they are beginning vaccinations of judges, state's attorneys, and public defenders.
Sheriff Ron Hain said that it has been their mission to work shoulder to shoulder with the health department since the onset of the pandemic to bring this burden on the community to a quick close. The Kane County Sheriff's Office has received, stored, and transported PPE; and conducted COVID-19 testing. It was an easy transition to begin doling out the vaccine using deputies who are also certified EMTs and paramedics.
As supply increases and phases transition, the Kane County Sheriff's Office expects to be able to provide clinics during Phase 1C to enhance the availability to residents.
