Max Christie is going pro.
That's according to Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo.
According to a statement from Izzo, Christie has hired an agent. That would make the former Rolling Meadows standout ineligible to play college basketball.
"I know this has been a lifelong dream for Max Christie and I'm excited for him as he takes the next step and continues the process and journey to become an NBA player," Izzo tweeted through the Michigan State men's basketball account.
Christie had announced that he was putting his return to Michigan State on hold while he explored NBA options. Christie is schedule to compete in the NBA Draft Combine this week in Chicago. He will be one of 76 participants.
