Berkshire Hathaway Northbrook office donates $2,000 to local food pantriesJan 15, 2021 1:00 AM - The Northbrook office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago and the firm's philanthropic arm, the Kindness Foundation, announced that they donated $2,000 to Northbrook-area food pantries in December. The Northfield Township Food Pantry and the West Deerfield Township Food Pantry will each receive $1,000. The money is part of a $40,000 donation pool to be distributed to local food pantries in place of the company's annual holiday party.

One thing that U.S. farms and railroads had in common through the late 20th Century was the color selection available for barns and boxcars. Most barns were painted oxide red, though some are white, and most of the 40-foot boxcars riding the rails during the steam era were painted in a variation of the same color.
