Two Aurora men were arrested Sunday for a carjacking that occurred earlier that day on the 1600 block of Maple Park Lane in Aurora, police announced Thursday.

Caleb Tyrell Turner, 21, of the 1600 block of Linden Park Lane, and Diego Cruz-Santos, 21, of 300 block of Jackson Street, have been charged with one count each of vehicular hijacking and vehicular invasion.

Police discovered the pair had been involved in the carjacking, which took place at 1:53 p.m., after they pulled them over for a traffic violation, the news release said.

Turner is being held on $75,000 bail at the Kane County jail. His next court date is Feb. 15. Details on bail and the court date for Cruz-Santos were not available Thursday.

Anyone with information about the case should call the Aurora Police Department at (630) 256-5000 or Crime Stoppers at (630) 892-1000.
