There were happy and lucky dogs almost everywhere we went last week. We also met the most successful synchronized skating team in the world in Vernon Hills and also found an unusual high school golf match to fill The Week in Pictures photo gallery for August 29-September 4, 2022 in the Chicago suburbs.

Anderson Humane brought back 75 more beagles overnight to South Elgin from the Envigo breeding and research facility in Virginia. The US Humane Society says that all 4,000 have now been removed from the facility that was shuttered after federal investigators found the dogs in inhumane conditions.
