64-unit "Timberleaf" townhouse development coming to Roselle in the spring
Roselle's housing options continue to expand with the "Timberleaf" townhouse project slated to begin in the spring.
Lexington Homes LLC will construct an 11-building, 64-unit development on 34 acres along Rodenburg Road, south of the railroad tracks roughly 3 miles from downtown Roselle.
Mayor David Pileski said Lexington started installing water and sewer utilities and began site preparation in October. No road closures are being planned.
The townhouses are expected to be built between spring and fall 2022.
"Lexington is hoping to get the ball rolling on this as soon as possible," Pileski said. "We're very excited to have them come to the community."
Lexington is a Chicago-based developer that specializes in building single-family homes and townhouses in the Chicago area. The company has several ongoing and completed projects, including townhouses in Warrenville, houses in Glenview, and townhouses in Arlington Heights.
Timberleaf will offer three-level rowhomes akin to the Warrenville project. Units will begin with a base price of $354,990.
Like the Metro 19 apartment complex, Timberleaf is expected to attract young professionals with families to the village.
