Access may be limited to parts of a DuPage County forest preserve on Saturday because of a training exercise.

Area police, fire and emergency responders will conduct search-and-rescue training from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Blackwell Forest Preserve near Warrenville.

The exercise will allow rescuers to practice how to respond if a tornado touches down near the forest preserve while visitors are staying at the Blackwell family campground. It will help agencies determine how they can best work together.

Blackwell visitors should stay away from the exercise area. Signs will be posted at the preserve with more information on training day.

DuPage forest preserve police will work with Warrenville fire, the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System, the Milton Township Community Emergency Response Team, the DuPage County sheriff's police, Superior Ambulance Service, the American Red Cross, and various forest preserve district departments.
