Daily Herald report

This year marks the 23rd year for the Batavia farmers market. It's held 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays through Oct. 27 on North River Street between Wilson and State streets.

Vendors offer fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs, meat, cheese, herbs, flowers and music. The third Saturday of the month features the Artisan Collective, where people can shop for handmade items from artists and designers.

There are also different kids activities every week.

To get a vendor spot, contact Batavia MainStreet -- which organizes the market -- at info@downtownbatavia.com or (630) 761-3528.
