Two Palatine residents were displaced from their home Saturday night after a fire in an apartment building on the 1100 block of East Randville Drive.
Firefighters responded about 7:40 p.m. Saturday to reports of the fire at the three-story building. They found a fire and smoke throughout a second-floor apartment unit, officials said.
Firefighters used fire extinguishers to put out the blaze, and it was under control shortly before 8 p.m., officials said.
No one was injured, but the apartment was left uninhabitable, officials said.
Damage estimates and the cause of the fire remain under investigation.
