The Big Braise is coming to Mon Ami Gabi Thursday through Wednesday, Feb. 15-21. New winter braises include braised lamb with white bean purée, braised beef short rib with pommes purée and braised pork with celery root and apple purée for $32.95.

The five-course meal from executive chef Bruce Williams includes a trio of shellfish gratins, pan-seared skate grenobloise, rustic duck pie, herb-roasted leg of lamb and apple tarte Tatin paired with boutique French wines. Big Bad Beer Night times 2
The inaugural Big Bad Beer Eve and Big Bad Beer Night are back for round two this week, but at different locations: Beerhead Elmhurst and The Beer Market Schaumburg. The Eve event, a private food and beer tasting featuring a flight of three barrel-aged beers and three small plates, starts at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, and the Night takes place all day Thursday, Feb. 22, at both locations.
